Monozukuri: Japanese Craftsmanship in the Modern Day

This is a book I made based on an essay I wrote about Japanese traditional crafts in the modern day. As well as writing the book, I illustrated it by hand, designed each page and hand bound it. I used four types of paper (recycled card, recycled paper, tracing paper and wash paper) to make the book feel more like an 'object' rather than just something to be read.
