You can follow along it's song, making your way through the temperate forest of southern Chile, but the Chucao likes to hide beneath the ferns, and wont reveal itself to you that easily. In Chile, it common knowledge that Chucaos can predict a safe journey... so if you fee it sing close by, consider yourself lucky.
Antonia Reyes Montealegre is a wildlife illustrator turned writer and storyteller from Chile.
