“Studying from Observation In this lesson I'll be going over drawing from observation. You may not have a live reference for every subject that you want to draw. In that case, you wanna compile a reference board. And when you're drawing something from photo reference instead of just copying a single image directly, you want to have multiple references of as many angles of your subject as possible. For example, if I'm drawing some kind of bird, in this case a raven, then in my board I may want to have a side view, 3/4 view, close up of the head or even videos of the animal in motion.
