“Structure of the Head and Proportions Now, I'm going to show you how to draw a simple head and its proportions. First, we'll draw a circle. I divided the face into two halves so you can see where the symmetry is. For me, it's helpful to know where the nose will go, so I will start here. It's usually somewhere at the bottom of the circle. I will draw horizontal lines to divide the face into thirds. The bottom line is where the face ends, so I'm gonna draw a jawline. I added a hairline to know where the hair will start.
